Moj´´´´acar is on the list of Spain's most beautiful villages "Los Pueblos mas Bonitos de España" and was the first village to be recognised as such. The pretty white Moorish village is located on a cliff, 2 km from the sea, and from afar you have a beautiful view of the typical Andalusian village. The white houses are built in traditional style and are built against the rock.
The narrow winding and narrow streets run uphill to the centre. This is the closest village for interesting shopping with many local products, 15-20 minutes' drive from our B&B. Must-see!
The region is very popular with golfers with a choise of courses available. An hour's drive takes you to the Aguilon Golf, near Pulpi is about an hour's drive away. This beautiful course is incredibly spectacular and far out of the ordinary, 6 big lakes and some natural ravines.
Award winning Desert Springs is probably one of the most beautiful courses in Spain and is only half an hour away. The "Indiana course" is the first desert-like golf course in Europe.
Even closer, is the Valle De Este course nearby Vera. An 18-hole desert style course and resort with a Spa Centre, sports areas and much more. It was hollowed out of a natural desert terrain and is surrounded by volcanic rock - a surreal golfing experience.
This is a unique excursion but is definitely worthwhile. La Geoda is one of the largest documented geodes in the world and is at a depth of 50 metres. It was discovered in 1999 and measures 10.7 cubic meters. You are able to visit as part of a guided tour which is an unforgettable experience! A jewel of nature.
Please note that this is a highly sought-after attraction of the region, booking several weeks in advance is required. Feel free to ask us for help with this.
Cabo de Gata
Cabo de Gata is a beautiful natural park with an area of +- 50,000 hectares. The park's location is special due to the fact that it is one of the few coastal areas in Spain where the coastline has not yet been affected by mass tourism and large hotels. As a result, the park retains its unspoilt charm and is an oasis of peace and quiet.
A scenic driving route from one village to another. You can expect steep cliffs, hidden coves and crystal clear waters with rich fauna and flora such as flamingos, including rare bird species and plants found nowhere else in Europe.

Almería is the capital of the province of the same name, Almeria, and a 45-minute drive from our B&B. Its name derives from the Arabic word Al-Mariya, the 'mirror of the sea'. The port city is best known for its sunny coast, with the most hours of sunshine per year over all of Europe.

This fairy-tale old Moorish village is located in a fairly remote part a few kilometres from the more famous Moj´´acar.
This region has been inhabited for 4,000 years, once a Moorish settlement with around 700 inhabitants, more than double the current number, stood on this spot. In and around that watchtower, there is built a good restaurant / bar where you can sit nicely.
To get there, you have to drive a pretty remote (but very beautiful) road that slowly goes up the mountain to eventually reach the beautifully located Cabrera. Only +- 30 minutes' drive from our B&B and definitely worth a visit!
Murcia lies on the Segura river and has a fairly mild climate. The region of Murcia is particularly important in Spain for the production and export of vegetables, fruit and flowers. It is also a major student city because of its university.
The city is about 40 kilometres from Spain's eastern coast (costa calida) with its many sandy beaches. So soaking up culture and terraces is a perfect combination here.
